Scholar commends cabinets’ commitment

By Sarah Mlozoa

Political science professor at Chancellor College Mustapha Hussein has commended cabinet ministers for performing well in the past six months.

Hussein said the passing of the 2019-2020 national budget is one of the indicators demonstrating that the ministers are doing a great job which is inline with the wishes of Malawians.

“We have seen the minister of local government installing different kinds of chieftaincy across the country simply showing that he is indeed doing what he is supposed to do as a minister,” Hussein said.

He however expressed the need for improvement in various ministries.

Hussein added that this requires team work among the people working in the ministries and civil servants as the ministers are only there to provide political leadership.

Hussein was quick to say they still not have to relax as the term has not come to an end.
