Computers stolen from Thyolo youth organization’s lab

Youth in Thyolo district and surrounding areas are to face problems following the theft of 14 desktop computer sets from a laboratory at Thyolo Active Youth Organization (TAYO) premises.

The computer laboratory was assisting the youth from different community colleges internees with free Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training.

TAYO’s Executive Director Willard Mwambo said this is a big set back to the young people from Thyolo and the surrounding districts as they were benefiting from the trainings.

“It’s a big brow to the young people from thyolo and the neighboring districts as they were benefiting from ICT training for free, because it is the only center where youth could come to and train,” Mwambo said.

Meanwhile Thyolo police officers are on the ground to investigate on the incident.
