Nine arrested for theft in Zomba

Police in Zomba have arrested nine people on suspicion that they are behind a series of break-ins theft in the district.

Zomba Police spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano said the suspects were found in different locations whilst offering for sale the stolen items.

“So far, three laptops, four plasma screens, Geepers home theater, four cellphones, Audianic subwoofer, two LG twitters and two speakers have been recovered,” Sipiliano said.

The suspects are expected to appear before the court of law to answer break-ins and theft charges.
