4 killed in head-on collision in Lilongwe

Four people have died on Friday morning after a Daihatsu Mira and a Toyota Vanguard were involved in a head-on collision at Msundwe Trading Centre along Lilongwe-Mchinji M12 Road.
Lilongwe Police Spokesperson, Inspector Hastings Chigalu said all the four occupants of the Daihatsu Mira sustained severe head injuries, multiple head injuries, and multiple fractures and were all pronounced dead upon arrival at St. Gabriel Mission Hospital.
The driver of the Toyota Vanguard, Morris Changamire and a passenger identified as John Balaku, a Mozambican national, sustained different degrees of serious injuries.
Chigalu said the deceased were yet to be identified.
