President Lazarus Chakwera has underscored the importance of continuing developmental projects for the benefit of all Malawians, regardless of their background.
He made the remarks at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe during the National Construction Day commemoration.
Since taking office in 2020, Chakwera stated that his administration has completed over 600 development projects across the country.
He dismissed claims that his government has failed to initiate its own developments, labeling such assertions as false information.
“There are people spreading lies that we are only completing projects from past regimes. That’s not true. We are delivering, and soon, I will release a full list of projects with pictures as evidence,” Chakwera said.
He also stressed the importance of continuing projects started by previous governments, emphasizing that national development must transcend political lines for the greater good of the country.
