A group of concerned citizens, in collaboration with Malawi First, has petitioned the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to investigate and suspend a K2.1 billion contract awarded by the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) to Luthando Holdings, citing a lack of transparency.
The contract involves the supply and delivery of 100 motorcycles, each reportedly priced at K21 million.
Speaking to YFM, Malawi First leader Bon Kalindo urged the ACB to scrutinize the procurement process to determine whether proper procedures were followed.
“We believe there are serious irregularities in how this contract was awarded, and the ACB must act swiftly to uphold accountability and transparency,” Kalindo said.
