The Minister of Mining, Ken Zikhale Ngoma, has confirmed that preparations are complete for the second Malawi Mining Investment Forum, which will take place from April 28-29, 2025 in Lilongwe.
At a media briefing held on Tuesday morning in Lilongwe, Zikhale Ngoma disclosed that the forum is expected to attract over 20 international delegates.
He emphasized that the event will serve as a platform to showcase Malawi’s mining potential, aiming to draw in more investments that will help the government unlock the full economic potential of the sector.
In a show of support for the event, NICO Holdings Group’s Business Development Executive, Zizwane Khonje, donated K50 million to aid the forum’s success.
Speaking at the donation event, Khonje stressed the importance of private sector involvement alongside the government in driving the development of the mining sector.
