Chakwera warns public officers against corruption

President Lazarus Chakwera has urged public officials to avoid corruption and consistently uphold values of integrity in their service to the nation.

He made the remarks while presiding over the official opening of the High Court–Commercial Division building in Blantyre.

Chakwera emphasized the need for professionalism, and selflessness from all public servants, noting that these values are essential for building a just society.

In his remarks, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Titus Mvalo, the construction of the new court building began in 2010 and has been finalized after facing several setbacks.

He added that the facility is expected to enhance the working environment for judicial staff, enabling them to provide more efficient and quality services to the public.
