The National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM) has announced that this year’s National Youth Summit will focus on investing in innovation as a key driver of economic growth and sustainable employment for the youth.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe, NYCOM Executive Director Lex Chapota said the summit, scheduled for July 2–4, aims to empower young people by fostering innovative solutions to socio-economic challenges.
Chapota also revealed that the event, expected to attract over 1,000 participants from across Malawi and international delegates, will feature the official launch of the K2 billion Youth Innovations Fund.
The fund is designed to support youth-led initiatives and start-ups across various sectors.
