Diaspora Malawians urged to invest back home

Senior Chief Malemia has called on Malawians living in the diaspora to invest in the country as a means of fostering socioeconomic development.

The chief made the appeal during a recent engagement between traditional leaders in Zomba and UK-based Malawian international finance, trade, and investment expert, Rhodrick Junaid Kalumpha.

Speaking at the event, Senior Chief Malemia emphasized that the time has come for Malawians abroad to contribute to national development by leveraging their skills, knowledge, and experiences acquired overseas.

In his remarks, Kalumpha said he saw it as important to create a platform that brings together all chiefs in Zomba District to exchange ideas and knowledge on how to drive economic and social transformation at the community level.

He further pledged to support local farmers by helping them access better markets for their agricultural produce.
