President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has urged all beneficiaries of loans from the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) to ensure they repay the money, stressing that the fund operates as a revolving facility.

He said timely repayment will enable many more Malawians to benefit from the initiative.

Dr. Chakwera made the remarks in Nkhotakota during one of his stopover meetings in the district, where he explained that the government aims to see more people accessing loans of over K10 million to expand their businesses.

The President further disclosed that his administration intends to increase the loan amounts disbursed through NEEF so that beneficiaries can have adequate capital to grow their enterprises.
