MCCCI to host 2025 national agriculture fair

The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) has announced that this year’s National Agriculture Fair (NAF) will take place from August 28 to 30, 2025, at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre.

Speaking during a media briefing in Blantyre, MCCCI Director of Membership Development, Wezi Mungoni, confirmed that President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to preside over the official opening of the 21st edition of the fair.

Mungoni revealed that over 80 exhibitors have already registered to participate, with the number expected to rise ahead of the event.

“We hold the National Agriculture Fair to promote linkages between agri-business exhibitors and potential customers, off-takers, researchers, policymakers, and development partners. These connections contribute to improved performance of the sector and the economy at large,” she said.

This year’s fair will be held under the theme: “Towards Commercialization and Economic Transformation through Smart and Sustainable Agriculture Systems.” The theme is aligned with the Malawi 2063 agenda and the Agriculture, Tourism, Mining, and Manufacturing (ATMM) Strategy.

Last year’s event attracted a record 86 exhibitors—the highest number since the fair’s inception in 2003.
