CAMA urges political parties to present clear economic recovery plans

The Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) has called on political parties and their aspirants to present clear and actionable socio-economic recovery plans to address the country’s struggling economy.

In a letter addressed to all major political parties and signed by CAMA Executive Director, John Kapito, the association stated that Malawians are growing weary of empty promises and now demand tangible, measurable interventions that can help the nation progress toward achieving the Malawi 2063 development goals.

CAMA has given the parties a deadline of August 31, 2025, to outline concrete strategies on key issues, including the high cost of living, persistent forex shortages, declining donor aid, and the need to promote export-led economic growth.
