Youth urged to exercise caution during festive season

By Blessings Makuta

Art and Global Health Centre Africa has urged young people to be cautious and responsible during the upcoming Christmas and new year celebrations.

Speaking to YFM, Youth and Community Engagement Associate for Art and Global Health Center Africa, Binuel Phale, highlighted the dangers of engaging in risky behaviours such as drug and substance abuse, warning that such actions can have long-lasting negative effects on the lives of young people.

“These festivals come and go, but they should not destroy lives,” Phale said.

He further appealed to parents, guardians and community leaders to play an active role in guiding, mentoring and supporting young people during the festive period.

Phale emphasised that youths should prioritise their safety, well-being and future, calling on all stakeholders to work together to ensure the festive season is safe, positive and memorable.
