The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has approved 14 out of 21 stadia inspected to host matches for the 2026/27 TNM Super League season.
According to a statement released by FAM, some of the approved venues include Zomba Stadium, Chitipa Stadium, Karonga Stadium, Rumphi Stadium, Chitowe Stadium, Champion Stadium, Aubrey Dimba Stadium, Silver Stadium, Joyce Chitsulo Stadium and Mpira Stadium.
Meanwhile, Owen Malijani Stadium, Kasungu Stadium, Balaka Stadium and Mchinji Stadium have been cleared to host matches for the National Division League.
However, Kamuzu Stadium, Nankhaka Stadium and Mzuzu Stadium have been deemed unfit to host matches due to failure to meet the required standards.
FAM Licensing and Compliance Manager, Clement Kafwafwa, said stadium owners were given time to address the deficiencies identified during inspections, with some complying while others are yet to meet the set requirements.
