Rehabilitation works at Zomba Stadium are continuing as efforts intensify to improve the facility and ensure it meets the required standards, Zomba City Council spokesperson said.
Aubrey Moses told YFM the council is using revenue generated from FDH Bank Premiership matches to maintain and upgrade the stadium to keep it in good condition.
Moses said the ongoing works include watering and maintaining the pitch, as well as completing the construction of players’ changing rooms.
However, he declined to disclose the amount being spent on the rehabilitation, saying the project is still in progress.
Zomba Stadium began hosting football matches before construction of the facility was fully completed.
