New urban movie to premiere Saturday

The Movie which has been entitled 16 bars is tale of urban life especially that of the ghetto. The movie has been produced by a grouping of young people from area 36 in the capital Lilongwe.

The Movie also touches on issues of gender based violence and other issues young people go through in the ghetto.

When asked about the title director and producer of the movie Gilbert Moyo said the movie is a musical one and the 16 bars represents a basic verse in rap and not 16 pubs as other people have been referring the movie.

“It is a movie about young people, the challenges they face financially having to find their identity and it talks about everyday life in the ghetto” Moyo explained

The Premier of the Movie is set to take place on Saturday night at the crossroads hotel in Lilongwe and according to Moyo the audience should expect to be entertained with this new movie on the night of the premier.
