Mwase ropes in six more players

The Flames local based squad resumed training camp on Monday in preparation for a 2022 World Cup Preliminary Round qualifier against Botswana next month.

Head Coach Meck Mwase has added six new players to beef up the squad as 11 Nyasa Big Bullets players have been excused to prepare for their CAF Champions League return leg match against FC Platinum in Bulawayo this weekend.

The six include midfielders Isaac Kaliati of Be Forward Wanderers, Gregory Nachipo of Blue Eagles and Silver Strikers’ Levison Maganizo.

Others are strikers Schumacher Kuwali of Blue Eagles, China Chirwa of TN Stars and Karonga United’s defender Lusekelo Malema.

Be Forward Wanderers’ defender Dennis Chembezi and Silver Strikers’ duo of Trevor Kalema and Duncan Nyoni who failed to join their colleagues last week due to minor injuries have now reported for duties.

Flames will start the World Cup campaign away on September 7, 2019 before hosting the Zebras at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on September 10.
