Youths urged to desist from post-election case violence

Renowned poet Hudson Chamasowa has urged the youth in the country to refrain from participating in violent acts after the presidential elections case verdict.

Chamasowa`s comments comes as the country awaits the Constitutional Court’s ruling on the matter.

Speaking to YFM, Chamasowa said even though the youth are showing so much interest in doing violence as they support different parties they do not benefit while on the other hand the leaders are benefitting from their fights.

“After the verdict as youth we should avoid participating in doing violent actions even provocative language that can instigate violence,” he said.

He further said the youth are just facilitating the leaders to be richer, by doing that the youth forget striving towards their future.

“Even if they achieve what they want with the youths support they don’t consider them back after their victories.”
