Mixed reactions on airborne coronavirus spread

The Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) has described as confusing “emerging evidence” from the World Health Organization (WHO) that Covid-19 is airborne.

Executive director for Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) George Jobe said it is important for Malawi to crosscheck this information because in April WHO had not reported of airborne spread Covid 19.

Jobe said, it is upon the line ministry to consult relevant stakeholders and come up with new Covid-19 guidelines for Malawians to follow.

“If this is information is legit then as a nation we will need to revisit the guidelines in order to halt the spread of the virus.”

According to Jobe, government will have to enforce the wearing of masks at all times among other.

On Thursday the WHO conceded that Covid-19 may be airborne spread after more than 200 scientists had appealed for them to speak on it.
