The Eastern Region Pool Association (ERPA) says it will hold an executive meeting on October 11, 2020 at Mangochi Turn-Off in Balaka district where they are going to discuss the forthcoming regional elections scheduled for October 31.
ERPA’s vice-chairperson Moses Kambereswa told YFM Online that the sport needs to be revived following the long lay-off due to suspension of sporting activities as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the suspension affected them hard considering that many entertainment places where the games of pool are played were closed for such activities.
“Once the games start, we will urge everyone to adhere to the COVID-19 preventive measures in accordance with government’s guidelines,” Kambereswa.
“This is the sport that we love and we cannot afford to get suspended for contravening with the guidelines.”
