Tobacco industry should adapt to Covid-19 changes – Expert

An agricultural expert has called on the tobacco industry to adapt to the changes that are coming as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Tamani Nkhono Mvula said the industry faced several challenges last year due to the pandemic and these are expected to increase.

Mvula has since advised that it is important that the industry now starts finding viable options for sustenance as the country is preparing for this year’s selling season.

“As the industry we should start adapting to some of these changes because if we have COVID-19 for the next couple of years then I am not seeing a change in the challenges we are facing,” said Mvula.
