The 30th batch of buses with 1,539 Malawian returnees has on Sunday 21 February arrived at Mwanza border during afternoon hours.

According to Public Relations Officer for Mwanza border  Pasqually Zulu the returnees were expected to arrive on Saturday  night but failed as a result of other challenges.

“The buses were expected to be in the country on Saturday night, but failed to make it due to other logistical challenges at Chamanno border in Mozambique, “he said.

Zulu said currently all border formalities and health protocols are underway in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

After finalizing all the processes and verifications the returnees will be released to continue their journey to their  respective destinations countrywide.
