Super League goes for recess May 15

First round of the 2020-21 TNM Super League season is expected to wind up on Saturday, May 5.

Currently nine teams have already finished their assignments in the first round.

Among the teams who have finished their games include the leaders Silver Strikers.

The Bankers have finished on a high note after beating the defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 on Saturday at Silver Stadium.

The Bankers have finished on the summit of the table with 35 points, 9 points ahead of the second placed, Nyasa Big Bullets.

However the people’s team has a game in hand which they will play on Saturday against the tenth placed, TN Stars at Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre.

Before playing their final match on Saturday against Bullets, TN Stars will face eighth placed Red Lions at Chiwembe ground on Friday.

In other closing matches on Saturday, Mzuzu Warriors will host Kamuzu Barracks at Mzuzu stadium while Mighty Wanderers have an away assignment against Civil Service United.

If Mzuzu Warriors beat KB, they will stand a chance of moving up from the bottom place of the log table where Mighty Tigers will fall.

Both Warriors and Tigers have 11 points each however the latter has already wrapped up their fixture.
