The 2017 FISD Challenge Cup will be played without the presence of two current leading TNM Super League contenders.

Silver strikers which is currently trailing behind the league leaders Be Forward Wanderers in the league, has followed the footsteps of the Nomads after being booted out of the FISD Challenge Cup by the Salima based soldiers, Mafco FC with a 3-2 win at banker’s own backyard on Wednesday.

The Bankers exit came 24 hours after their fellow contenders Mighty BeForward Wanderers were also booted out by Moyale Barracks in a 2-0 encounter at the soldiers’ backyard.

An early exit by the two giants has boosted the chances of other Super League clubs of grabbing the FISD Challenge Cup.

Currently Nyasa Big Bullets, which has secured a place in the FISD round of 16, is the only so-called giant remaining in the competition and also dreaming big about the league title at the same time.
