Body of murdered person with albinism laid to rest

The body of a man with albinism, MacDonald Masambuka, 22, has been laid to rest on Monday at Ngokwe in Machinga district.

Masambuka from Nakawa village, Traditional Authority Nkoola, was abducted three weeks ago.

Police say the body of Masambuka was found on Sunday buried in a garden close to his house with no feet and arms.

Meanwhile, a clinical officer at Machinga District Hospital and a Police Officer at Nselema Police Unit have been arrested in connection to the gruesome murder of Masambuka.

Over 20 persons with albinism have been killed in Malawi since 2014.
