TNM Super League week 9 registers 12 goals

A total of 12 goals have been registered in the week nine of 2018 TNM Super League over the weekend, reaching 141 goals since the start of this year’s competition.

On Sunday, Dwangwa United spoiled Karonga United’s southern region trip after defeating them by 1-0 a goal scored by Patrick Macheso at Chitowe Stadium.

The result means Karonga United have only collected a point during their trip as they also managed a 2 all draw on Saturday against the struggling MAFCO FC at Chitowe Stadium.

Civil Sporting failed to utilize a home ground advantage following a shock they have suffered from the hands of Mzuzu based soldiers Moyale Barracks by 2 goals to nil.

Loyd Njaliwa and Gastin Simkonda were on target for Moyale.

The rookies TN Stars stood their feet at their own back yard, Kasungu Stadium, by holding the visitors Kamuzu Barracks to a 1-1 draw.

China Chirwa was on target for TN Stars while Sammy Chiponda scored for Kamuzu Barracks.

BE FORWARD Wanderers have ended their two week break with a shock following a 1-0 defeat from the hands of Zomba based soldiers at Red Lions in a game played at Mangochi Stadium.

It was a first game for the Nomads after SULOM exempted the team from the fixture following the team’s contribution of 8 players to the National team duties in COSAFA Cup tournament.

A 28th minute goal from Royal Bokosi was enough to spoil the Nomads come back.

When the Nomads were being punished, their arch-rivals Nyasa Big Bullets were having a big celebration at Mulanje Stadium following their 2-0 win over the rockies Masters Security.

Bullets hitman, Chiukepo Msowoya opened the score sheet in 15 minutes and Chimango Kayira sealed the score line 4 minutes in the added time.

The result means Nyasa Big Bullets have taken a step further in leading the log table and now they have 21 points, 5 points ahead of the second placed Silver Strikers.

Back on Saturday, it was a battle of the underdogs when Nchalo United played a goalless draw against Masters Security at Kalulu Stadium.
