Two nabbed for campaigning in Blantyre

Police in Blantyre have arrested two men for allegedly campaigning at CI polling center in Blantyre City South.

Police said the two were allegedly persuading people to vote for one of the presidential contestants.

In a related development, two monitors belonging to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) have been arrested in Mchinji for attempting to vote twice which is against the electoral laws.

Mchinji police Station Public Relations Officer, Inspector Kaitano Lubrino said the arrested officials are from Mphanga and Mkanda Wards in Mchinji central constituency.
