Gabadinho Mhango wins PSL player of the month award

Flames Striker Frank Gabadinho Mhango has won the South African Premier Soccer League Player of the Month award for January 2020.

The on-form Orlando Pirates striker netted six goals in the club’s five fixtures last month as he too catapulted himself to the top of the goal scoring charts.

Amongst his six goals, he scored a hat trick against Polokwane City.

It is the first time that Gabadinho has won this award since joining the PSL with Celtic in 2013.

The Buccaneers went unbeaten throughout January thanks, partly, to the six goals in five matches from striker, Mhango.

His terrific scoring form in January has seen him score a total of 14 goals this season so far, making him the leading goal-scorer going into the final stretch of the league.

For winning the monthly award, Mhango will receive R5 000 from Absa.

The Buccaneers are set to take on Black Leopards on Sunday
