Govt challenged to tackle financial crime

Calls continue to trickle in for the Tonse Alliance led government to ensure there is no application of selective justice when probing alleged financial crimes in the country.

The recent call is coming from the Center Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI).

Interim Executive Director for CDEDI Sylvester Namiwa told YFM online that while they commend the stance taken by the administration, it however appears it has centered on the immediate past administration.

According to Namiwa there a lot of issues that happened in other governments such as the sale of a presidential jet, the suspicious fire that gutted down ESCOM house in Blantyre among others, and he says these must also be investigated.
