Nomads aggravates Ntopwa’s dilemma

Fresh from a 4-0 defeat by Civo Service United on Sunday, Ntopwa FC has suffered another 4-1 humiliation from Mighty Wanderers on Wednesday at Kamuzu stadium in the TNM super league.

During the match Ntopwa were the first to score through Hendrix Misinde in the first half.

Wanderers came from behind to register 2 goals in the first half while the remaining 2 were scored in the second half.

Peter Wadabwa scored the equalizer before Babatunde Adepoju netted the second goal in the dying minutes of the first half.

Stanley Sanudi and Isaac Kaliati registered one goal each in the second half to seal the Nomads triumph.

During the added time in the second half Ntopwa were awarded a penalty which was taken by Mphatso Magaleta but was saved by Nomads goalie, Richard Chipuwa.

Speaking in an interview after the game Wanderers coach, Bob Mpinganjira, expressed satisfaction with the way his boys performed saying “scoring four goals it’s not a joke”.

On the other hand, Ntopwa FC Technical Director, Isaac Jomo Osman, said one of the contributing factors to the loss is a tight fixture schedule which has been lined up for his side which also contributed to the fatigue of his boys.

He further said Wanderers supporters intimidated his players at the dressing room a development which also affected them psychologically.

He however admitted that their opponent played a good football.

Wanderers have moved to position 8 from 10 while Ntopwa FC have dropped by a step to position 9.
