PAC committed to advocating for Covid-19 jab

Public Affairs Committee (PAC) has asked the general public to emulate President Lazarus Chakwera and take the second dose of the Astrazeneca vaccine.

The plea has come following a meeting PAC held with President Chakwera at Sanjika palace in Blantyre on Wednesday 09 June 2021 which they were explaining the role religious bodies are taking to ensure people get the vaccine.

PAC spokesperson Bishop Gilford Matonga told YFM that it is encouraging that the president has led by example.

Further to this PAC says it is committed to ensure that faith groups are encouraging people to take the vaccine.

“Our meeting with the president was to let him know that the religious bodies have agreed to work together with government in ensuring that we advocate, encourage people to get vaccinated,” said Matonga.
