By Charity Kadetseka

President Lazarus Chakwera’s sudden visit to Capital Hill Offices on Thursday has brought hope to the civil service.

For a couple of months, civil servants have been receiving their monthly salaries late.

Speaking to YFM, Minister of Information, Gospel Kazako said the visit was so important as the President wanted to find out why there has been play games and excuses in terms of delay in processing and paying civil Servants monthly salaries.

“We still have people in Government who do not subscribe to the ideology of the current government,” he said.

“What they are doing is to merely frustrate.”

“They just do things slowly filtering every other activities so that this govt must not look good,” he said.

Kazako said the President is yet to receive a report from the Offices explaining why those issues were happening.
