Organisers of Mulhako wa Alhomwe annual celebrations say money amounting to K150 million has been set aside for this year’s event slated for October 8-10.
Mulhako wa Alhomwe chairperson Leston Mulli when briefing the media at Chonde in Mulanje said the event, did not take place last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mulli quashed assertions that the cultural celebrations failed to take place because of change of leadership from Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to Tonse Alliance as speculated by some quarters.
Apart from inviting the Black Missionaries Band to perform at the function, the organisers have also unveiled their plans of inviting some international traditional doctors who will bring with them, some charms which are useful during bed time.
