More pressure for DPP to hold convention

Political analyst Wonderful Nkhutche has called upon the Democratic Progress Party (DPP) to hold an immediate national convention to address the ongoing leadership squabbles.
On Monday, DPP president Peter Mutharika ordered the party’s president for the Southern Region Kondwani Nankhumwa to stop using the picture of the party’s founding president Bingu wa Mutharika in their political posters.
Nkhutche has since warned that the continued use of the said picture by more DPP officials despite the directive by Mutharika, is likely to widen cracks in the party.
