Mulanje police appeals for help for an identified boy

Police have implored on the general public to come to the aid of a minor who is currently receiving treatment at Mulanje District Hospital but without a guardian.

The boy is projected to be between the ages of 14 and 15.

According to Mulanje police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira, the boy who has a speech impediment was involved in a hit and run accident and has been hospitalized since December 3, 2021.

“The boy was successfully treated for the injuries incurred during the accident but he has developed other problems on his private parts,” he said.

Ngwira has since asked people whose relative is missing or anyone with information on a missing person to contact police, social welfare office or the hospital as soon as possible.
