Parents of children with disabilities have asked government and its stakeholders to do more in ensuring that children with disabilities have access to quality education.

One of the parents, Zinenani Beston from Magombe village in Zomba, made the call during a handover ceremony of inclusive education champions, by the Rays of Hope under the Pamodzi for Inclusive Education South-East Africa project (PIESEA).

Whilst commending Rays of Hope of the work it has done of introducing inclusive education champions in her area, Boston said there is need of disability friendly infrastructure and materials to help children easily access education.

Meanwhile, the Rays of hope, has concluded a two and half year Pamodzi for Inclusive Education South-East Africa project with the hope that it is going to be sustained through the trained community champions.
