Junior Flames to curtain raise Airtel Top 8

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has shifted the date for a friendly match between the Malawi National Soccer team Under 20 against Zambia under 20.

The match, which was supposed to take place on Wednesday, has been shifted to curtain-rise the inaugural of 2018 Airtel Top 8 Quarter Final match at Bingu National Stadium on May 5.

The Airtel Top 8 battle involves the capital city rivals, Civil Sporting club and Silver Strikers.

The Junior Flames is preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola scheduled for May 12 at Bingu National Stadium.

The return match will take place in Angola two weeks later.

In Saturday’s game the Junior Flames will be in the pitch without the prolific star, Peter Banda who is in Brazil with South African side Orlando Pirates Project X team.

He joined the side on Wednesday for a trip to Rio De Janeiro as part of his two week trials with the team.

The junior Flames drew 1 all draw against Eswatini to book its ticket to face the Junior Chipolopolo.
