Super League registers 28 goals, as Bullets shines

A total of 28 goals have been registered from nine games played in week 22 of the 2018 TNM Super League season.

19 goals were scored from five games played on Sunday while nine were registered from four games played on Saturday.

Nyasa Big Bullets had a superb week after scoring six goals from a single game, becoming the first team to score the highest in a single game since the start of 2018 season.

The People’s team beat Kamuzu Barracks 6-0 on Sunday at Kamuzu stadium.

Bullets’ victory has pushed the team up to 46 points, six ahead of the second placed Silver Strikers and still leading the log table.

The victory indicates that Bullets have managed to register 12 goals in two competitive games played in a space of five days following another 6-0 win over a lower league side Changalume Barracks during a Carlsberg cup quarter final qualifying game plyed at Kamuzu stadium on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Blue Eagles football club was the worst casualty over the weekend after failing to collect any point from their two assignments in the Southern Region.

On Saturday the team lost 3-0 against the third placed Mighty Be forward Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium before going down 3-2 against Azam Tigers on Sunday at Mulanje Park stadium.

Blue Eagles is on position six on the log table with 29 points.
