Super League registers 23 goals in 8 games

Eleventh week of the 2019 TNM Super League has registered a total of 23 goals from eight games lined up by Super League of Malawi (Sulom) over the weekend.

Sulom took advantage of the independence day holiday to line up games until Monday.

11 goals were scored on Monday from three games, 10 on Sunday from four games while two were realized on Saturday from a single game.

Kamuzu Barracks FC had a tremendous week after collecting a maximum of six points from their two assignments a development which assisted the team to maintain their stand on top of the log table.

On Monday KB beat their brothers in arms, Moyale Baracks by 2-1 at Civo Stadium before claiming another 2-0 victory over Karonga United on Saturday at the same venue.

Karonga United and Moyale Barracks had a ruthless week as the two sides returned to the northern region empty handed following their two losses each in the central region.

Before losing to KB on Monday, Karonga United also suffered a 2-1 defeat against Dwangwa United on Sunday while Moyale Barracks suffered a 1-0 defeat to Silver Strikers on Sunday before going down to Kamuzu Barracks by 2-1 on Monday.

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers has registered a highest number of goals following a convincing 6-1 victory over Masters Security at Kamuzu Stadium on Monday to maintain the second position on the log table.

Be Forward Wanderers forward, Babatunde Adeboye, was also on the peak after registering a hat trick, while Gracian Kankhande of Dwangwa United, Sam Gunda and Manase Chiyesa of KB, Hassan Kajoke of Big Bullets and Francis Nkonda of Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, each registered a brace.

Currently, top three of the log table is made up of KB on top followed by Be Forward Wanderers while TN Stars holds position three.

Mzuni FC is anchoring the table with only six points from three games.
