Government starts reviewing land laws

The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban development has started consultations on the review of land laws as directed by President Lazarus Chakwera.

The Ministry’s spokesperson, Enock Chingoni, said in the meantime they are consulting technocrats on the matter and they will later be open to the public.

Chingoni has assured that the exercise will be completed before the next sitting of Parliament.

President Chakwera ordered the ministry to revise the land laws in order to remedy the land wrangles which are rampant in the country.
