The National Association of Small and Medium enterprises (NASME) has pleaded with banks for extra effort in supporting small scale enterprises in the country.

National Coordinator for NASME William Mwale, told YFM online that small scale enterprises are contributing a lot to the country’s economy hence they need financial support to do much better.

“Most small scale enterprises in Malawi find it hard to raise money for capital because banks don’t usually offer them loans,” he explained.

Mwale further added that business levels in the country have improved this year.

“We must recommend the Government for the great job of lifting the ban of exporting maize, this will surely make a great impact in the market though it’s a bit late,” he said.
