Youth Net and Counseling (YONECO) has depicted 2017 as a successful year in its goals of fighting injustices against rights of women, children and youth.
Executive Director for YONECO, MacBain Mkandawire told YFM online that a lot of injustice cases were reported in the past year.
Mkandawire added that this shows that people are aware of where to report when faced with such situations.
However Mkandawire condemned the delay of some cases in the justice sector in the country.
“We have a lot of cases which have delayed because service providers were not available and we need to solve them very quickly,” he said.
Mkandawire added that there are a number of remarkable activities that have been achieved through the implementation of some projects.
“We had more opportunities than challenges. It’s a year when we saw a number of new projects being implemented,” he said.
Mkandawire said the organization will make sure that there is continuation of its great work in 2018 in order to help more people.
He therefore unveiled plans to ensure visibility of the organization across the country.
“We do a lot of things but I think people don’t know what YONECO does so, this year we will make sure that YONECO is well known for its work,” he added.
