The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has registered a 16 percent decline in crime rate in the country in the year 2017 compared to the year 2016.
National Police Publicist James Kadadzera told YFM Online that the crime rate has dropped from 51,421 in 2016 to 43,159 in 2017.
Kadadzera said they managed to crack down criminal activities with the help of patriotic citizens.
“We are very impressed that the citizens in the country are able to report any suspicious acts to the police and we urge them that they must continue so that we can have total sanity in the country”
Kadadzera has therefore urged all police officers in the country to continue working tirelessly towards the country’s security.
