Central Region Water Board workers threaten strike

Central Region Water Board employees have threatened to go on strike as a way of forcing some senior managers to resign by 12 February this year.

Secretary for the employees Jecup Lutere said they are demanding the resignation of their bosses for failing to effectively perform their duties.

Lutere cited failure to improve working conditions for the employees, maintaining equipment and to comply with revenue policies as some of the areas that have collapsed in the institution.

Central Region Water Board Public Relations Officer Zephania Mitumba declined to comment on the matter saying he is yet to receive a communication on the impending strike.
