Judge orders investigation into death of albino killer

The High Court in Zomba has ordered the Malawi Prisons Service to launch an investigation into the death of Herbert Maloni, who was convicted of murdering Fletcher Masina, a man with albinism in Ntcheu in 2016.

Justice Professor Redson Kapindu issued the order after convicting three of late Maloni’s accomplices, Kenneth Moses, Ulemu Mangombwa and Steven Lipius.

Maloni was found dead outside Ntcheu Prison last year while awaiting sentencing.
