Concerted efforts needed to remove children from streets

Officials at El-Shaddaih Orphanage in Salima say removal of children from the streets requires concerted efforts.

The Orphanage’s Director Pastor Blessings Nyasulu told YFM that a lot of street-connected children run away from child care institutions because most centers lack enough resources.

Nyasulu added that government and child care institutions alone cannot manage to provide support to the children hence the need for everyone to render support that would help to keep them off the street.

She made the remarks on the sidelines of a donation of assorted items by Winning Women of Winners Chapel International over the weekend.

The Winners Chapel women also reached out to Salima Resource Center for the Blind and other needy people within Salima district.
