Zomba MP launches motorbike pass on project

By Joseph Mtema

Member of Parliament (MP) for Zomba Central Constituency Bester Awali has today launched motorbike pass-on project at Gymkhana Club.

Speaking during the handover ceremony of two motorbikes, Awali said the gesture is one a way of empowering the youth economically

“Most of Kabanza operators are just employed, they don’t have their own motorcycles and sometimes they are demanded by their employers to give all the money which they have made on that particular day so I just thought it wise to donate the motorbikes so that they can depend on them,” Awali said.

He therefore advised the beneficiaries to take care of the motorbikes so that they will produce more.

Motorbike Association of Malawi president Michael Joseph said the donation will help to create job opportunities to other people.
