Six arrested over exam malpractices

Police have arrested students and teachers for malpractices during administration of Primary School leaving Certificate of Education (PLSCE) examination in different districts.

According to Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), the three students and three teachers are from Dowa while one student is from Rumphi.

In Dowa, two standard 7 students of Chinkhuti primary school in Lilongwe and one student of Mbalame Community Day Secondary school were found writing examinations for four candidates of Mtunthama primary school.

While in Rumphi, a candidate was found with a reference material in the examination room.

Primary students are expected to finish their examination on Friday.
