Lightning kills 4 in Zomba

Four people were killed by lightning strike on Thursday in Namalima village Traditional Authority Ngwelero in Zomba district. 

Zomba police deputy spokesperson Sergeant Aaron Chilala identified three of the deceased as Patricia Symon, Luckson William, and Leticia Kondwani whilst the fourth one is yet to be identified.

Chilala said the deceased met their fate as they sheltered in an abandoned and dilapidated barbershop within the village.

The deceased’s bodies were found by one of the villagers who together with other villagers reported the matter to Jali police station.
